A few years ago, we received a call for a request to hold a Flag Football Fundraiser. This group was new to us, and the request was for a potentially cold day for outdoor fun. We said "SURE"!!! The reason we've opened up the park for multiple sports and non-sporting events was to create an amazing community gathering place for everyone and it's happening!
This group turned out to be an amazing collection of high energy gals from an MSU sorority. This group is the impactful MSU students known as Kappa Delta. This will be their third year hosting their fundraiser for PREVENT CHILD ABUSE AMERICA, a cause that has a very special meaning to the Kappa Delta Sorority name. In fact, this group, across America, has raised over $23 Million since 1981!
We wanted to know more about the event and asked lead organizer, Alyssa Dimondo her thoughts, and here is what she said.
"Kappa Delta will be hosting the third annual Shamrock Super Bowl on March 24th, 2019 from 12-5pm. Tickets are on sale for anyone who would like to come support and watch a day of football, we will be returning to Hope Sports Complex for our third year! We will also be holding our own March Madness bracket competition, in which people can guess which teams will win each round. Everyone is encouraged to participate, no matter if you can make it to the event or not. All purchases can be made on our fundraising site; https://msu.crowdchange.co/6595. Prizes will be worth hundreds of dollars and will be announced on March 1st when the brackets are released! Above all, Kappa Delta will direct all efforts to support Prevent Child Abuse America. Our partnership with this organization is 38 years strong and we are proud to support PCAA each year. This is our main priority, and we hope that you'll hold it in your hearts as well!"
Won't you please join us for this great cause? You can help make a difference. Come on out to Hope for some fun on Sunday, March 24 from 1-5pm. There will be three games of flag football happening all day long on our turf field. You can also click the link above and donate whatever you can to their cause. Hope to see you there and....
P.S. Cleats Bar and Grille will also be open for full service!
