Community comes together to play Charity Game for Ian

Hope kicks off Patio Talks with a discussion on depression

Community members will gather today and play a charity soccer game to celebrate the life of Ian Hartley, a local young man who lost his battle to depression.  Ian was a cherished soccer player with Chill SBC Soccer Club and Charlotte High.  The event was organized by Ian's mother, Julie, in hopes of raising money and awareness to depression and suicide prevention.

Dr. Linda Peterson, Chief Medical Officer of McLaren Greater Lansing, has graciously offered to give a discussion on the topic of depression.  Please join us at Hope Sports Complex today at 3:00 pm.  The games will begin shortly after 3:00 pm and the discussion will be held at Cleats Bar and Grille, onsite at the sports complex after the first game.
